Daring and versatile, American drummer Jonathan Pinson is making his mark across genres and generations. He’s performed and collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, and aspires to bring joy and healing to his audiences as the leader of Boom Clap.

Pinson is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music as well as the Thelonious Monk Institute at UCLA. He has appeared at venues like Newport, Montreal, Jakarta, and So What’s Next Jazz Festivals, the Hollywood Bowl, the Village Vanguard, the Blue Note, LACMA, Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, Yoshi’s, and Ronnie Scott’s, and worked with Seal, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Kamasi Washington, Braxton Cook, Gerald Clayton, Terrace Martin, Keyon Harrold, Kiefer, Marquis Hill, Mark Turner, Gilad Hekselman, Moses Sumney, Christian Kuria, and Ben Williams.
