This June, the “Virtual Producer: Beats & Beatmaking Course” will be available at the NYU-Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. This years’s course will run from June 10th – July 1st, from 1:30pm – 4:30pm EST every Monday & Wednesday. K-Salaam is the Professor for this course.
The class will be online and in-person.

This is a customized course specifically created for people who aspire to be music Producers.

Some of the topics that the class covers includes:

– Drum Programming
– Song Structuring & Arrangement
– Sound Design (both traditional Synthesis and Granular Synthesis)
– Sampling / Sample Manipulation (Sample Chopping, Rearranging Samples, TimeStretching / Warping, Micro Sampling, etc.)
– Virtual Instruments & MIDI composing / recording / editing.
[also some Mixing & Mastering basics.]

This is an online course, and although it is only 1 month in duration, it is extremely intense. If you come to this class and pay attention, you will leave knowing how to produce music.

Many students who have graduated from this course have gone on to become successful producers in their own right.
