This April, the 9pm set continues the celebration of Randy Weston’s centennial with a program shaped by his expansive musical vision. Pianist Vijay Iyer opens the night with a solo tribute, followed by pianist Willerm Delisfort and trombonist Mariel Bildsten in a duo honoring both Weston and Melba Liston, whose centennial arrives in 2026. Moving between solo and duo moments, the set carries a sense of warmth, motion, and conversation, unfolding naturally and keeping the music at the center.
