Grammy Award-winning bassist and composer Eric Revis is one of the most commanding voices in contemporary jazz. Known for his powerful tone—described by Branford Marsalis as “the sound of doom: big, thick, percussive”—Revis has performed with legends like Betty Carter, Lionel Hampton, McCoy Tyner, Bennie Maupin, Peter Brötzmann, and the Branford Marsalis Quartet, where he’s held the bass chair since 1997. A fearless bandleader and collaborator, Revis is co-founder of the acclaimed trio Tarbaby and has released eight albums as a leader. Whether on festival stages, in intimate clubs, or on major film soundtracks, Revis brings an unmatched depth and creative energy to every performance.
