Rooted Theater Company, in partnership with the legendary Billie Holiday Theater and sponsored in part by The Brooklyn Pride Organization, presents the return of its House of Rooted Theater Festival, a dynamic celebration of queer artistry in the performing arts. The  annual festival will take place on The Billie’s iconic stage located in the heart of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

This year’s festival features a vibrant lineup of original short plays, all written and directed by LGBTQ+ artists. The event is a platform for queer creatives to share bold, authentic stories that speak to the complexity, joy, and resilience of queer life. Now in its second year, the festival is fast becoming a cornerstone of Brooklyn’s Pride Month cultural offerings. Audiences can expect intimate storytelling, fierce performances, and conversations that resonate long after the curtain falls.
