Join us at our annual fundraiser, the premiere event of the season music directed by Jazz at Lincoln Center bassist and composer Carlos Henriquez, exploring grooves of the African Diaspora that have shaped the shared rhythms and cultural roots of American music. The Gala concert will feature performances by the incomparable Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and special guests Wynton Marsalis, Rubén Blades, Aymeé Nuviola, Dancers from AILEY (Premiering new choreography by Samantha Figgins of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater), Shenel Johns, Ekep Nkwelle, Herlin Riley, Jeremy Bosch, and more.
