Amina Figarova is an Azerbaijani-born pianist, composer, and bandleader celebrated for her sophisticated jazz compositions and expressive playing. She has built an acclaimed career blending post-bop, contemporary jazz, and global influences and has released numerous albums—including Twelve and Blue Whispers. A frequent collaborator with her husband, flutist Bart Platteau, as well as renowned artists Rudy Royston, Luques Curtis, Wayne Escoffery, and Alex Norris, Figarova is known for her intricate arrangements and dynamic ensemble interplay.
