Kyle Roussel, born in Boutte, Louisiana, is a versatile pianist, composer, and producer whose music reflects the rich cultural heritage of New Orleans. Trained in classical, gospel, and jazz traditions, he studied at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and the University of New Orleans under legendary mentors like Alvin Batiste and Ellis Marsalis Jr. His sound draws from diverse influences including James Booker, Dr. John, Stevie Wonder, and Jon Batiste, resulting in a dynamic blend of jazz, funk, gospel, and classical styles. Roussel has performed and recorded with artists such as Jon Batiste, Dave Grohl, Paul McCartney, Chance the Rapper, Irma Thomas, Ivan Neville, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and many more.

Henry Butler (1948–2018) was a American jazz and blues pianist, singer, and composer renowned for his virtuosic technique and deep roots in New Orleans music traditions. Blind since birth, Butler blended jazz, blues, funk, and Caribbean rhythms into a distinctive sound, earning acclaim as one of the greatest modern interpreters of New Orleans piano. A passionate educator and photographer, he performed internationally, recorded numerous albums, and collaborated with legends such as Dr. John and Nicholas Payton. Butler’s artistry and advocacy left a lasting legacy in both music and culture.
