We are humbled to welcome Theo Parrish, in conversation with Lovie at Elsewhere Chatroom this Saturday evening. The third session of our Red Bull Midsummer series, a moment to explore the sounds that define Theo, new and old.

Theo Parrish is a Washington D.C.-born, Chicago-raised DJ, producer, selector, arranger, keyboard clunker, visual artist, lecturer, and so much more. He continues to engage, challenge, and redefine the limits of what we call Black dance music, serving as an example of creative independence.

Lovie’s diligence to the craft, musical curiosity, archival work, and deep focus on the listening experience inspire the warmest, most community-minded dance floors you’ll find in New York.

With intensity and intention, Playr1 unites dance floors under the mission of unfettered movement and spiritual liberation through sound, inspiring others to dig a little deeper into themselves and the world around them.
