MALINI AWASTHI
a benefit concert for the expansion project

With captivating charm and a powerful stage presence, Malini Awasthi presents the richness of Indian folk music traditions.  She is adept in various forms of Hindustani music such as vintage Dadra, Thumri, and Kajri Chaiti.  Her knowledge of music finds reflection in her renditions of Ghazals and Sufiyaana Kalaam as well.

She has been recognized by the Government of India with the Padma Shri award.

This concert is a benefit for Kali Mandir, Laguna Beach.  As a cultural ambassador, Malini Awasthi supports Kali Mandir’s Expansion plan for establishing a large sacred space in Laguna Beach.
