Peven Everett
Peven Everett is a singer, song writer, multi-instrumentalist, and entrepreneur in the arts hailing from Harvey outside of Chicago.

Early on Peven was given full access to the band room in school by his band director Mr. Webber. He seized the opportunity often being the first in but the last one to leave. He learned every instrument in the band room winning first chair for Trombone and Trumpet and also several state titles for his school. During his 7th grade school year Peven passed the professors exam at the Carl Fisher School of Merit and subsequently
began teaching music, to his peers. This garnered him prodigy status and put Peven on the radar with Jazz Music’s elite. It was at this time he played a Jam session with Dizzy Gillespie which was attended by Miles Davis. Peven was the sole recipient of The Berkley School of Music full scholarship in the Jazz program for the year prior to completion of high school.

His career began with a phone call from Betty Carter due to an audition tape Peven sent to her indepentdently after seeing her on a PBS program. Betty extended him an invitation to New York that would forever change his life. As a result, in his teen years he left Chicago for the Big Apple and Carnegie Hall. During his time in NYC he was in the Jazz Ahead Program as a Trumpeter, and was elected by Ms. Carter to be a musical director
for the Reed Sisters. Peven was intercepted by Branford Marsalis, the head professor for the Berkley program. He would learn hands on. Peven also played with Branford’s brother Wynton Marsalis appearing in the documentary Marsalis on Music. During his time in the Jazz circuit he played with a long list of elite musicians including, Doc Severinsen from the tonight show, Louie Bellson. Yoyo Ma, Jackie Terrasson, David Sanchez,
Brain Blade, Elu, Marc Cary, Greg Hutchinson, Nancy Wilson, Abby Lincoln, Vonn Freeman, Elvin Jones, Wallace Rooney, Ravi Coltrane, & Curtis Lundy. Prior to his departure from New York Peven wrote Groydology which appears on Curtis Lundy’s release Against All Odds which also features Peven on trumpet.

Human Bloom
Human Bloom is the collaboratively eclectic and explorative project of its leaders Jackson Shepard and Imani Rousselle.

Their most recent album “Ex+Ordinary” was created in the midst of the 2020 global shutdown, and delves into the complex experiences and emotions Rousselle and Shepard confronted in that time.

Human Bloom’s debut album, “Nightshade”, explores experimental electronica, free jazz, funk, art rap, and neo soul. “…it’s one hell of a psychedelic experience.” -Neon Pajamas
