Composer, producer, and bassist Anthony Tidd brings his visionary ensemble Quite Sane to Harlem for a special three-week residency at Atelier Harlem (Pop-Up), a brownstone performance space created by Tidd and dedicated to creative music in Uptown Manhattan (246 Malcolm X Blvd — 122nd & Lenox Ave). Week one features Astrid Kralisch, Damion Reid, Micah Thomas, Emmanuel Michael, Kokayi, Lauriin Telese, Miguel Zenón, and Anthony Tidd.
The residency features 20 days of non-stop activity in the heart of Harlem: nine Quite Sane concerts, weekly jam sessions, weekend guest ensembles, and an Atelier Harlem Party. This series is made possible with support from John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation and South Arts.
