On stage, Thana Alexa and a virtuosic ensemble of multi-instrumentalist singers recreate vocally driven arrangements in real time, expanding every orchestrated nuance and harmony while maintaining the intimacy of the original duos. This performance offers a crossover of acoustic jazz and immersive electronic production and live looping.

Thana is an electrifying performer, whose last solo release ONA received 2 Grammy nominations (Best Jazz Vocal Album & Best Improvised Solo for Regina Carter), while SONICA, her collaboration with Grammy-winning vocalist Nicole Zuraitis and renowned bassist Julia Adamy, received major acclaim as another independent release. She was recently awarded a prestigious grant from Creative Capital, for her subsequent project, RESONANCE – a song cycle that explores how music and sound frequencies have an impact on our physical, mental and collective health. On International Jazz Day 2026 Thana was featured on NPR’s Jazz Night in America with Christian McBride, discussing her upcoming recordings and her role as co-founder and musical director of the Ponta Lopud Jazz Festival in Croatia.
