Theo Saunders is a New York–born, California-based pianist whose career spans the world’s most prestigious jazz festivals, concert halls, and clubs. He has performed with legends including Freddie Hubbard, Pharoah Sanders, Azar Lawrence, Buddy Collette, Harold Land, Eddie Harris, Barbara Morrison, and Kamasi Washington, among many others. Beyond jazz, Theo’s versatility has led him to collaborate with leading voices in Latin, R&B, and rock—from Willie Bobo to Gladys Knight and The Four Tops. As a composer, his work ranges from jazz and rock to scores for dance, theater, and multimedia productions. A true artist and innovator, Theo’s story is featured in People in Jazz: Jazz Keyboard Improvisors of the 19th and 20th Centuries by Bill Lee.
