Trusted on the bandstand, in concert halls, the studio, and the pit orchestras of Broadway, Tyrone Allen II has become one of the most sought – after bassists on the New York City scene and on the global stage. Since 2018, his work has been recognized by The New York Times, JazzTimes, WBGO, and he was named a Rising Star Bassist in the 2026 DownBeat Critics Poll. He has performed, recorded, and toured worldwide with creative luminaries including Sullivan Fortner, Tyshawn Sorey, and Nicole Glover, while currently holding the bass chair for the 10-time Tony Award–winning Broadway production Moulin Rouge! The Musical.
