Under the direction of Grammy-winning pianist and Monk’estra leader John Beasley, this jazz super group features former SFJAZZ Collective members trumpeter Sean Jones and saxophonist Mark Turner with guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel, bassist Ben Williams, and drummer Terreon Gulley. The group delves deep into the visionary spirit and boundless creativity of Davis, exploring the vast directions his music continues to inspire. Beasley’s special arrangements will cover each decade of Davis’ chameleonic career.
